Our well-established client in the Risk Financing and Insurance industry is urgently looking to fill the above vacancy. Suitable candidates would be required to manage and monitor all financial control systems to ensure proper and accurate reporting of all financial results and regulatory requirements. This role further requires engagement with all other relevant holding company divisions and departments to ensure the effective operational functioning of all aspects. Duties and responsibilities: Corporate claims/ risk reporting Corporate Claims management Staff training, mentoring and management; finance strategy Cell Captive Financials Treasury Monthly reconciliations Projects Year end and interim audits Reporting Operations Management Planning Horizon Delegated Freedom to Act Rand measures - Revenue, Expenditure, State Figures on an annual basis for the current Financial Year Unit Measures - Number of clients / customers (internal or external), number of suppliers, number of products or any other scope measurements pertinent to this job Candidates will need to complete a 4 hour assessment. CA (SA) qualification Minimum of 5 years' experience in Management of direct reports Strong exposure to pension funds, employee benefits, retirement annuities, insurance sector essential Proficient in Excel & Access Key to this role is working closely with the businesses, internal and external Understanding of core business functions, requirements and pressures. Absolute accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Previous experience in financial management essential. Previous experience in Insurance, financial services, pure finance and financial controls Willing to stand ground on decisions despite senior opposition. Planning and organising across businesses, divisions and available resource essential.
